This website will provide you with resources, ideas and on upcoming events relating to our various ministries.
Pr. Cheonneth Strickland | DIRECTOR
One of the things Cheonneth loves to do is minister for God and with young people. Ever since he was 15, he has been involved in leadership in the local church with youth. They are a passion of his and help keep him young! Cheonneth loves to see youth develop their leadership skills, grow spiritually and become better people. He has been fortunate to be able to do what he loves in the Greater Sydney Conference for the last 17 years. Eleven of those years as Director of Youth Ministry. When not running summer camps, sitting in meetings or preparing a sermon, Cheonneth loves to hang out with his wife and kids, shooting hoops (Basketball), watching sport or making something with timber.
PR. JOHN WELLS | ASSOCIATE
John Wells has spent so much of his time introducing the outdoors to people and promoting Pathfinders and Adventurers that it has become his way of life. John is a qualified outdoor person who also loves creating, exploring new places, having fun, organising events, working with volunteers and seeing people succeed as leaders. He believes that life should be approached in the context that ‘nothing is impossible with God’ and it is great to praise Him for the amazing ways that He works.
PR. RAUL MORAN | ASSOCIATE
Originally from Melbourne, Victoria, Raul felt a calling to pastoral ministry in 2006 and began studying for ministry the following year at Avondale College. Raul’s passion is in the area of youth leadership training and faith building and looks forward to working with the energetic and passionate youth of Sydney to spread the gospel of Jesus and fulfil the great commission. Both his wife Tess and daughter Kelicia love being involved in the Youth ministry events and all look forward to see what God has in store for Greater Sydney.
Timothy Richardson | ASSISTANT
Tim has always loved being involved with serving young people at his local big camps and summer camps, but never thought he'd be doing it for a living. After graduating from Avondale with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Tim found himself in his current role where he's been able to combine his passion to serve along with his creative flair. If he's not in the office, you'll either find Tim hating on the heat, or hitting up Perisher.
