Summer Camp Staff Application

If you would love to get involved as staff for the 2014 Anchored Summer Camp, to take the challenge and make a difference, now is your chance. Summer camp is a great opportunity to witness to young people, make new friends and strengthen God given gifts (or find new ones)

Applicants must be 16 years old for Junior Camp and 18 years old for Teen Camp. All staff are required to comply and conduct themselves to the standards of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as well as all camp policies and procedures. Applications close the 1st of November 2013!

Unless you already have one through your workplace make sure to define you are a volunteer. 8-10 Nov / Adventurer Camporee

The 2013 Adventurer camporee is sure to be a blast. being held at the Crosslands Convention Centre – Camping Area, during the 8th – 10th of November. In the theme of ‘EXODUS’, 2 special awards are being developed just for this camp so this is an opportunity not to be missed! 

  • Early Bird $28 – Closes midnight 21st October
  • Regular $38 – Closes midnight 28th October
  • Late fee $45 – Closes midnight 31st October

[item title="Registration + Application Details"]Remember that each child must have a parent/guardian register with them, to care for them at the Camporee. Each person attending the Camporee must complete the online application form; this includes parents, Pre-Adventurers, Adventurers and siblings. All details must be provided in order to process the application. Incomplete forms will not be registered. Once your form in completed and confirmation email received please follow links to payment.[/item][item title="Registration Requirements"]Pay the fee with application form. Be the right age (no older than 10yrs & Helping Hands – the program is not suited to Pathfinder aged children)Be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Be registered members of your club. Be self sufficient for accomodation and food. Every registered person will be required to wear an arm band.[/item][item title="Check  In + Arrival"]Check in from 4pm. Cars will be parked in a designated car park to give us more room for camping. Every club will be allocated a marked space to camp in based on numbers. Keep tents to a minimum. Our youth Dept. security team will look after security and parking. No Adventurers or adventurer staff before 4:00pm. Please allow the District Directors time to set up for Camporee.[/item][item title="What To Bring"]Adventurer/Pre-Adventurer Field uniform for Sabbath morning, 2 sets of clothes for activities, warm clothes for night time and clothes for sleeping. Wet weather gear incase it rains, a hat and footwear. Sleeping bag, bed/mattress, pillow, tent + anything your Club suggests.[/item][item title="Sabbath"]Sabbath is an active worship time with singing, stories and lots of different sabbath learning activities. NOTE  – this is not a formal church service program. As a Saturday night special there will be an age appropriate movie in the park shown.[/item][item title="Kent Lodge Accommodation"]Bookings for Kent Lodge are separate from the Adventurer Camporee ad need to be organised with the caretaker. Camporee Fee will be charged to those Pre-Adventurers and Adventurers whose bookings are organised with Kent Lodge and wish to receive the badges.[/item][item title="The Pool"]The pool is out of bounds for the Camporee including those booked into Kent Lodge![/item][item title="Wet Weather Statement"]The advisory will cancel the Camporee on Thursday evening if the weather looks bad. There will be an alternative program on the Sabbath in this case. Wet weather refunds will be $12 per registered camper, wether you attend the wet weather program or not.[/item][/accordion]
